【Video Reviews】- Modified Patek Philippe Celestial 6102P “Starry Sky”

Posted on June 4, 2026 By kevin No Comments on 【Video Reviews】- Modified Patek Philippe Celestial 6102P “Starry Sky”

Summary of Key Points about the Modified Patek Philippe Celestial (Model 6102P “Starry Sky”)

Based on the latest video transcript (focusing on the Patek Philippe 6102P Starry Sky dress watch), here are the essential features of this modified watch.

1. Model & Nickname

  • Model: Patek Philippe 6102P – commonly called the “Starry Sky”
  • Genuine secondary market price: 3‑4 million yuan (very expensive)

2. Movement – Custom Integrated 240 Clone (Free‑Sprung)

  • Previously, upgrading required an original genuine 240 movement – very expensive.
  • Now, the watch uses a custom‑made free‑sprung integrated 240 movement (clone), which already achieves internal functions.
  • Back features:
    • True free‑sprung (non‑caliber) structure – counterweights around the balance wheel.
    • Rotor upgraded to 22K gold automatic rotor.
    • Bridges with gilded engravings – very, very clear.

3. Functions & Adjustments

  • Basic timekeeping: Hour and minute hands.
  • White needle: Points to the outer ring calendar function.
  • Moon phase function (area on the dial).
  • Adjusting time: Pull out the crown and turn. After two full rotations (24 hours), the white calendar needle jumps one mark – the moon phase jumps simultaneously.
  • Separate moon phase adjustment: On the genuine, the lower button adjusts the starry sky disc (up) and moon phase disc (down). This clone movement can only adjust the starry sky disc separately. A better movement (higher price) can adjust both independently.

4. Case Options

  • “P” in 6102P indicates platinum material.
  • Two case versions available:
    • Steel case (upgraded)
    • Genuine PT950 platinum case and buckle (more expensive)
  • Distinctive feature: A diamond at 6 o’clock represents the starry sky.
  • Diameter: 44 mm – suitable for larger wrists.
  • Thickness: Relatively thin – one‑piece mold achieves consistent thickness.

5. Overall Quality

  • The watch is described as a “semi‑functional gold‑plated version” – the movement has been modified very well.
  • As long as you wear it in normal social situations, there will be no flaws.

6. Value Proposition

  • Purpose: spend as little as possible to enjoy and own a million‑level Patek Philippe watch with the same texture.
  • Choose according to your budget:
    • Movement: Semi‑functional (basic) vs. fully functional (better, higher price)
    • Case: Steel vs. genuine PT950 platinum

7. Key Quality Checklist for PP 6102P Starry Sky

ComponentWhat to Look For
CaseSteel or PT950 platinum – 44mm, thin, diamond at 6 o’clock
MovementCustom free‑sprung 240 clone – 22K gold rotor, gilded bridges
FunctionsHour/minute, date (white needle), moon phase – starry disc adjustable separately
AdjustmentCrown for time (calendar/moon phase linked), side button for starry disc
FinishingFree‑sprung counterweights, clear engravings

Concluding Comment

This video introduces a modified Patek Philippe 6102P “Starry Sky” – a dress watch that in genuine form costs 3‑4 million yuan. The modified version uses a custom‑made free‑sprung integrated 240 clone movement (with a 22K gold rotor and gilded bridges), avoiding the very high cost of an original genuine 240 movement. The watch offers basic functions: hour/minute, a date pointer (white needle) that advances with the moon phase after 24 hours of crown rotation, and a separate starry disc adjustment via the side button (moon phase adjustment is not independently available in this version; a better movement offers that). The case is available in steel or genuine PT950 platinum (more expensive), with a diamond at 6 o’clock representing the starry sky. The diameter is 44mm (for larger wrists), and the watch is relatively thin.

Strengths:

  • Cost‑effective alternative to the genuine 3‑4 million yuan watch.
  • Free‑sprung clone movement with 22K gold rotor and gilded engravings – good finishing.
  • Dual case options (steel or real platinum) to fit different budgets.
  • Distinctive starry sky dial with diamond at 6 o’clock.
  • Functional date and moon phase linkage – works as described.

Final verdict: The modified PP 6102P Starry Sky is a good entry point for collectors who want the iconic celestial design at a fraction of the multi‑million‑yuan price. The free‑sprung clone movement offers respectable finishing (22K rotor, gilded bridges). The choice between steel and platinum cases allows budget flexibility. However, serious perfectionists will note the semi‑functional moon phase (separate adjustment requires a more expensive movement) and the aftermarket case. For those who can accept these trade‑offs, this watch delivers the “starry sky” aesthetic with solid mechanical basics. As always, independent verification of the movement and case material is recommended. Bozwatch’s honest breakdown of functional limitations and pricing options provides a useful buyer’s guide. This is the “spend less, enjoy a PP celestial” proposition.

Hello everyone, this is Bozwatch Reviews.

Every watch is a work of art, a testament to time, and I am a fanatic believer in them. I also hope that all watch lovers can avoid pitfalls and find your own “Bole” (discerning patron).

Today, I will share a Patek Philippe dress watch with you. Its model is PP 6102P. We commonly call it the Starry Sky.

The secondary market price of this watch is very high – up to three or four million yuan. If we wanted to play with this modified PP Starry Sky, we had to use an original genuine 240 movement for modification and upgrade. But upgrading with an original 240 movement is actually very, very expensive.

The movement in our watch now is custom‑made by us – a free‑sprung integrated 240 movement. It can already achieve its internal functions.

So what functions does this watch have? Let me briefly introduce them.

The hour hand and minute hand are the basic pointers. The white needle points to the outer ring’s calendar function. This area is the moon phase function.

How do we adjust it? To adjust the time (hour and minute hands), we pull out the crown and turn it. When the crown is turned a full circle (12 hours), and then another full circle (24 hours), the white moon needle on the outside will jump one mark. That’s the calendar function – you can see it jumping. When the calendar jumps, the moon phase actually jumps simultaneously.

In fact, the moon phase function inside this watch can be adjusted separately. On the original Starry Sky watch, turning the button below upward adjusts the starry sky disc, and turning it downward adjusts the moon phase disc. Currently, this molded integrated movement can only adjust the starry sky disc – it cannot adjust the moon phase disc separately. If you want separate moon phase adjustment, we also have a better mold‑made movement that achieves that function, but the price will be higher.

The purpose of modifying a watch like this is to spend as little as possible to enjoy and own a million‑level Patek Philippe watch with the same texture.

This watch can be said to have achieved a semi‑functional gold‑plated version. The movement has been modified very well. Let’s take a look together.

On the back, you can see it has a true free‑sprung (non‑caliber) structure – there are counterweights around the balance wheel. The rotor has been upgraded – a 22K gold automatic rotor. The bridges have gilded engravings, very, very clear.

For this watch, “P” represents that its material is platinum. There are currently two versions:

  1. Upgraded steel case
  2. Using genuine PT950 platinum to make its case and buckle

Of course, if it’s made of platinum, the price will be more expensive. Modified watches are chosen according to your budget.

For the movement, you can choose a semi‑functional movement or a fully functional movement. For the case, you can choose a steel case or a precious metal platinum case. That’s how far modification can go. As long as you can wear it out in normal social situations, there will be no flaws.

This case has a distinctive feature – at 6 o’clock, there is a diamond (representing the starry sky). The diameter of this watch is 44 mm, suitable for people with larger wrists. It’s also a relatively thin watch – a one‑piece mold achieving consistent thickness. The side button can be used to adjust the calendar and moon phase separately.

This is the latest model of the PP 6102P – modified and upgraded with a domestic‑made integrated movement.
